Optometrist By Day

 

During the day, Dr. Tran is what he goes by. He’s the head optometrist for College Optical Express at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. He’s also an Associate Professor for Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry by allowing his office to be an externship site for 4th year students of his alma mater. Having his primary office location at UNT allows him to be a teacher as well as a practitioner. Any college/pre-optometry students attending UNT can sign up to shadow or even work as an optician for Dr. Tran. He provides them with the experience and educational goals to allow them to move into the next stage into their lives, Optometry School. As an Associate Professor for his Graduate School, he has an Externship program that teaches current Optometry students learn the business side of Optometry and further excel their exam skills with various types of patients. His true passion is to help people take care of their eyes so they can see the world visually. His get away is to let you close your eyes and experience the joy of good music to your ears.
